

CHIMES CONTINUES STRATEGIC EXPANSION AS
DENNIS MOODY NAMED NEW COO OF CHIMES MARYLAND
Former COO Alexis Melin to Continue her Contributions to
Chimes in New Role as Special Assistant to the President
Maryland-headquartered Chimes International Ltd. recently announced that Dennis P. Moody has joined the nonprofit as Chief Operating Officer of Chimes Maryland. Alexis Melin is transitioning from the role of COO of Chimes Maryland to Special Assistant to the President of Chimes, Martin S. Lampner.

Organizations that serve people with disabilities in Maryland and throughout the U.S. continue to face the challenge of serving a growing need with limited funding,” said Mr. Lampner. “It is essential for Chimes to continue to find innovative ways to meet this challenge and we are confident Dennis’ experience and expertise will serve him well in his new position.”

As COO, Mr. Moody will oversee programming, coordination and expansion of services and funding, quality assurance as well as facility issues. His goal will be to create more efficient and effective operations that will enhance services for the people Chimes serves.
Mr. Moody brings over 25 years of experience in health services leadership and management to his new role with Chimes. During 18 of those years he held executive level operations positions with Magellan Health Services. Mr. Moody’s responsibilities at Magellan included developing successful partnerships with nonprofit service providers and advocacy groups to provide effective healthcare and social service programs throughout the nation. Most recently, he worked as Chief Development Officer for MHM Services Inc. in Vienna, Virginia.
Mr. Moody earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in business administration from Bloomsburg State University in Pennsylvania and earned an MBA with a focus in finance from The Pennsylvania State University.
